Search the MDHC Website
Search the MonDak Heritage Center Website using the form to enter specific
words or combinations of words. The results will display in a list of matching
documents, with the best matches shown first. Each list item is a link to a
matching document; if the document has a title it will be shown, otherwise only
the document's file name is displayed. A brief explanation
of the query language is available, along with examples.
Using keywords like AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses helps you
receive more specific results. Other arbitrary Boolean expressions to include in
your search are listed below:
- information retrieval
- using no expressions finds documents containing either 'information' or
'retrieval'
- information or retrieval
- using a keyword is similar as above
- information and retrieval
- using AND finds documents containing both 'information' and
'retrieval'
- information not retrieval
- using NOT finds documents containing 'information' but not
'retrieval'
- (information not retrieval) and WAIS
- information included in parenthesis finds those specific documents
plus uses AND giving results containing 'WAIS', and 'information'
but not 'retrieval'
- web*
- following a word with and asterisk (*) finds documents containing
words starting with 'web' for example
